Position Overview
Girls Inc. of Chicago (GIOC) is proud to be leading a community focused initiative: The BOLD Futures Youth Employment Partnership. For this important youth-led and youth-focused work, GIoC will be hiring and paying young adults between the ages of 16-24 years old to support the planning and implementation of our community events and program series. Employment with GIOC will also include training and education in Leadership Skills, Community Justice and Advocacy, and Project Planning. Employment will be for 10 weeks (July 1st- September 5th) at approximately 20 hours/week.
Girls Inc. of Chicago's traditional work hours are Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. Selected applicants must be able to work within these traditional work hours.
Qualifications
· Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related discipline
· Great written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
· Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Flexibility, initiative, self-motivated, detail-oriented and follow-through.
